What is an AVGS?

 

​AVGS stands for Activation and Placement Voucher. You can obtain an AVGS from the Jobcenter or the Arbeitsagentur. With an AVGS, our coaching is free for you. The Job Center or the Arbeitsagentur will cover the costs.

Our AVGS coaching is personalized one-on-one counseling that takes place over several weeks. You’ll receive individualized support from a coach—without group sessions—and the program is fully tailored to your personal situation, your skills, and your career goals.

What does our AVGS coaching offer?

During our one-on-one sessions, we’ll work together to identify your skills, your aspirations, and the career path that’s right for you.

Among other things, we'll support you with:

• career orientation and planning for the future

• searching for a suitable job

• creating and improving your application materials

• job applications and contacting employers

• preparing for job interviews

• questions about work, training, and continuing education

• recognition of foreign degrees and qualifications

• prepare for job interviews in German

 

Coaching in 8 Languages

You don’t need to speak German perfectly to take advantage of our coaching. We provide coaching in your native language—German, English, Ukrainian, Turkish, Arabic, Romanian, Russian, and Albanian. Meaning we are able to support you particularly well, especially if you’re looking to start a new career in Germany.
